So tell me.... What would you do if you came across someone's artwork being used on on eBay as their product or part of their product? I have found stickers, automotive decals, t-shirts, custom printed car tags, steering wheels speed knobs, buttons.... and much more. I have located several of the artist here on DA and notified them of my finds. I have only received one reply out of the seven artist that I have notified. I have checked eBay and the items are still listed. Should I continue to notify artist of my findings or just leave it alone? I thought I was helping out. But maybe I am just sticking my nose where it shouldn't be?

I have been a follower on DA for some time. I have followed and watched many great artist. I have gotten commissions from many amateur and professional artist. I have also gotten notes and responses from my notes and comments to them. But there a some artist who never respond to any notes or comments. I have asked and even requested commissions only to never receive any response. Time and time again I have reached out to a few artist only to be ignored. I know they are doing commissions because they post some of their art listing it as commissions and/or trades. I read through their journals for anything about commissions only to find nothing. So I note them asking and hoping for a response. I do realized most artist have jobs and other commissions they work on to pay the bills. I realize also that some artist can and have taken up to 6 months or even longer to make good on commissions due to work load. I don't mind the wait for a commission, I have waited a year for a inked piece and never once regretted having to wait so long. I am even willing to pay extra if they do a piece old school on paper with pencil and pen and mail me the original. Digital art is great and gets better detail, but you still can't beat a original piece on paper that has been inked. I frame and hang all my pieces for my personal and private enjoyment. I have and never will sale any piece. The commissions I receive are personal to me and I even request they can personalize the pieces to me to prove my point of not selling the pieces for profit.
So someone please tell me why so many artist ignore my notes or commission request.
Does anyone else have the same problems?
I won't point fingers or give names of who I am ranting about. To me that is to rude..... But then again they can't take a moment to at least respond to a fan note or request. But I will be the bigger man and just bitch without giving names.
To those who I have gotten commissions from and those that I am still waiting on, thank you.
